It smells of candi sugar and wild yeast. The flavor is of sweet candi sugar with some tasty fruit notes and the funky yeast. It’s medium bodied with fine, bubbly carbonation and is very refreshing, Nesta13 (202), Australia

| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 13/20 | May 17, 2009 Bottle. Aroma has notes of barnyard, leather, sour lemons, and citrus. Hazy medium orange amber hue with a small amount of medium sized particles in suspension. Small off-white head that mostly diminished and left good lace. Flavor sweet with some lemon sourness and barnyard leather on the finish. Palate is light-medium bodied and lively. Smells like shit but overall not that bad fresh but also not that great. | 1.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 2/10 | 3/5 | 3/10 | 3/5 | 5/20 | Apr 28, 2009 Sorry, but I do not like fruit in beer! This beer was too light, too fruity, and too carbonated. The only thing it had going for it was a slight bitter edge. Bontus (307), Waasmunster, Belgium
| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Apr 27, 2009 Bottle, expiry date 2010. Pours hazy golden with a fast fading head. Funky tart nose with sweet fruits like green apples or grapes, sugar. Mildly astringent. Sweet for a gueuze but the sourness punches through eventually and more so as it warms.
Decent. More a Faro than a gueuze however. Dedollewaitor (3764), Odense, Denmark

| 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 12/20 | Apr 10, 2009 I had a Foudroyante Gueuze, 37.5cl and it had both a cap and a cork. Pours a hazy copper orange with lots of yeast in, with a nice white head that came back thin but stay until the end. Aroma are strong sour apples. Flavors are very sour and a little sweet, with a very present ripe apples and some pears with mixed spices. A bit to sour. TBone (6844), Pori, Finland

Hazy muddy orange color, vanishing white head. Sweet and sour nose of balsamico and overriped apples. Fruity and tart but same time artifically sweetened. Apples, lemon. Finish is nicely lemon fruity. Without sugar ... maybe ... with sugar ... one bottle is enough.
