Complex funk about the nose; very cheesy straightup, i’d go as far as to say a goats cheese, particularly sharp and lactic. Sour cream, cider vinegar, cherry pip, with an overall sweetness.
Body is reasonably lean, lively carbonation with a slight creaminess leading into a vinegary sharpness that lingers for a bit.
Body seems to be a mix of sharp cheese and sweet vinegar character. Quite apple ciderish, bit of woody sharpness, white grape skin, lemon rind, sweet almond breadiness. Finish is slightly tannic and dry, acid lingers for a bit but seems subdued to the underlying sweetness of the beer.
Interesting enough. I really never know where I stand with this style, but I enjoyed this one quite a bit. harrisoni (6928), Ashford, Kent, England

Lambic, bit of farmyard some sour aroma. A sweetish lambic, but frankly not all that bad. Yes, too sweet ultimately, but it has all the other hallmarks of a gueuze. Aroma is good. fredandboboflo (1431), East Setauket, New York, USA
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Sep 4, 2008 Bottle. Aroma of mild tartness, a touch of acidity, sweat, parmesan-ish cheese, apple skins, apple flesh, apple cider, maybe some cherries or other fruits. Flavor a mix between the sour and the sweet, and although that may not make this a "real" gueuze, I don’t think it makes it un-tasty. Pleasant tart bite, even if that bite is more of a gentle gnaw. I like it. Lubiere (4551), Ottawa, Ontario, Canada

Pleasant lightly sour aroma, horseblanket and madera notes. In mouth, oxidized gueuze, with light lactic notes, saccharin, a bit dead, lacking depth. The aroma is a little sour, some swet and notes of wood. The taste is sour, with sweets which prevails. Notes of wood and fruits like orange. It has a light sweet and sourish aftertaste. A refreshing beer. amc3000 (46), houston, Texas, USA

Both nose and taste are of vinegar and metal. The sourness is not overwhelming. Some woody elements and marzipan showing up. Rather sweet. Not my kind of beer.
