[vintage 2006, bottle #8464]
Pours a great, deep, clear red with a big, fizzy, off-white and pink head. Just a few seconds before it becomes about a 1mm film head that stays. Wonderful aroma with lots of cherries, marzipan, light tartness, barnyard. Medium to high carbonation, fine mouthfeel. Flavour is nice, quite dry, wonderful fresh cherries and super balanced tartness. The aftertaste has light caramel and marzipan notes. Wonderful. hirigalzkar (576), Stockholm, Sweden
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Nov 18, 2008 Bottle. Dark purple colour. Big pink but short lasting head. Earthy aroma, like a earthy red wine. Flavor is sour (like lime; also sweet) and complex. Miksu (2220), Jyväskylä, Finland
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Oct 19, 2008 0.75 l bottle, vintage 2007, 5.5 %. Hazy deep red color, looks like a viscous juice with spritzy sorbet head. Sweet, sour, perfumed and very cherryish aroma with bubblegum, strawberry and black currant. Sour, very cherryish and juicy flavor with notes of strawberry and hints almonds. Thick juicy palate with puckering finish. This is too juicy and cherryish which masks the wild yeast flavors. A sour cherry aroma better than anything else I’ve had from Lindemans. A little sweetness in there but by far the most sour product I’ve had from these guys. Hope this makes it to America in bulk. | 4.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 3/5 | 9/10 | 4/5 | 18/20 | Sep 10, 2008 This beer we had on a sampling with fellow beer geeks. We were divided in two aboute this beer. I for one loved this. It has a big, but short pink foam. The typical kriek aroma. Followed by a dry, crisp taste with a perfect acidity. A few of my fellow beer geeks thought that the cherries were to dominant and the acidity was to much and wanted to pour it away. I and another beer judge had to sacrefice ourself and finnsih the bottle.
