Nice long, dry, tart and sour finish. Nice, very nice, but which traditional lambic isn’t? Skinnyviking (4174), Copenhagen, Denmark
| 2.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 10/20 | Mar 9, 2008 Bottle. High creamy dark red and lasting head leaving nice curtains. Clear very dark red body. Bitter cherries aroma. Flavor relatively sweet for a kriek. No real edges. Low carbonation. Short aftertaste. BelgiskOlklub (419), Viby J, Denmark
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Mar 2, 2008 Bottle 75 cl. Spare white head. Clear deep red colour. Lively carbonation, medium body. God cherry aroma - but it is only lasting for a short time. A good balanced flavour between cherry sweetness, some bitterness and a heavy acidic finish - even though the finish is rather short. leaparsons (4755), Leicester, Leicestershire, England
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Jan 21, 2008 Bottle. Red and pink with a pink head. Aromas are sour woody and dry with dark berries. Flavours are dry, yeasty and woody with sour vinegar notes. Without the puckering sourness and barnyard notes of some lambics. Still, has nice cherry notes and a good sparkle. | 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Jan 15, 2008 Bottle. Dulled reddish/purple beer. The aroma is lightly sour and the flavour is very sour and quite tart at the finish. Overall a fairly average beer. JoeinUccle (911), Brussels, Belgium
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Dec 18, 2007 It’s traditional and sour, but not the most complex of oude krieks... maybe a little disappointing for the rarity and price tag. But I hope they keep making them, and that they get better. My 75 cL pours a bright red with pink, fizzy head that recedes. Big sour cherry nose with a lemony edge. Tastes very tart, with a mildly dry feel and relatively low acidity. There’s a sour tang on the finish that sticks to the throat. Good stuff, really, but Cantillon is cheaper in these parts...
