Dark reddish/brown pour. Cherries, tart grapes, wet wood, minerals, and vinegar nose. Flavor is sour cherries, vinegar, oak, lemon and dry on the finish. Good.

75 cl bottle. Blood-like black-red. The darkest red I’ve ever seen. Aroma of rich stewed cherries, dry, iron, dusty funk. Flavor of iron (blood?), cherries, dusty horse blanket, very dry and funky, little lacticity. Rich, rather highly carbonated, palate. Extremely dry, minerally; much drier than expected. Very funky, actually, with not much sweetness at all. A bit too much metal for me.

An unclear orange beer with a small head. The aroma is fruit, sour fruit, that actually puckers your nose. The taste is a mouth puckering fruity sourness with a balance of sweet.

Bottle, 75cl corked, at Cardinal. It’s a hazy, cherry-reddish beer topped by a small, pinkish white head. Horseblanket, cherry and lemon in the aroma, quite mellow. Cherry-sour flavor with hints of almonds. Lemony and tart. Dry, palate-cleansing and astringent, finishing with sour cherries. A quite lovely, easy-drinkable beer that isn’t too sour at all. Far from the commersial swill though. 090728

Pours clear red with a frothy, diminishing white foam. Cherry and raspberry aroma. looks and smells wonderful.. Dry mouth feel with astringent finish. There’s also chlorine (bleach) in the finish that really draws points out of the overall impression. Almost recommended.

[9/5/08] Bottle at Kulminator in Antwerp after LCRBM. It was an old bottle, but I forgot to write down the vintage. Dark red-ruby color with a white head. Acidic aroma of sour cherries and some vinegar. Sour flavor with cherries, some slightly sugary sweetness in the back and some astringency in the finish. Medium-bodied.
