| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Mar 24, 2009 14 months old bottle. Pours dark red like ruby port with a pink head. Almost no lacing. Red fruit aroma’s not very cherry though. Bone dry overcarbonated and very sour flavors. Very tart and astringent. Left my tongue ravaged for some more hours. It didn’t let me down. A nice, easy drinking kriek. Flavor is tart with notes of cherry skins, leather, general barnyard/ horseblanket notes. Easy drinking, yet authentic, dry, and delicious. This is drinkability. hopscotch (5514), Vero Beach, Florida, USA
| 4.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 9/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Mar 23, 2009 Bottle… Pre-C&P’sLYFO Throwdown… Cloudy caramel-colored ale with a small, creamy, white head. The aroma isn’t big on cherries, but offers plenty of funky cheese, horse blanket, worn leather and wood. Medium-bodied with a creamy mouthfeel and gentle carbonation. The flavor is imperially sour with only the faintest hint of cherries. Crisp, tart, clean, bone-dry finish. Thanks to miketd for sharing his bottle with the crew at redlight redlight! | 4.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 9/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Mar 21, 2009 Courtesy miketd. Dark red with a light pinkish white head. A ton of funky brett, plenty of tartness, tannic cherry skins, and just a touch of cherry juice sweetness, maybe less than a touch. My biggest complaint with most fruit lambics is they tend to be too sweet, definitely not a problem with this one. Dry, funky, sour kriek. One of the best krieks I’ve had.
