Sour cherry, tart apple, maybe some cinnamon(?) in the aroma. This is sessionable for a sour beer. The cherry is definitely there but it doesn’t dominate. There’s a bit of sour candy in there as well along with an odd leather finish. I can dig it. ucusty (1915), Wake Forest, North Carolina, USA

Cloudy pinkish red-orange pour with a think white head. JCB ("huge pink foamberg") clearly got the top end of the bottle and left me with the cloudy stank. I jest. Nose is tart sour cherry SweetTarts and earthy oak. Funky, but a bit weird due to some strong rubber notes. Or as emacgee scientifically put it "rubbery phenol." Quite good. Lovely pour: reddish orange with a huge pink foamberg on top. Massively oaky nose, with lots of funky complexity in there. Nicely tart, not quite as strong a kriek flavor as I was expecting, more an oaky astringent character. Still, a really excellent brew. emacgee (1892), Chapel Hill, North Carolina, USA

Pours a murky bright pink with a one finger frothy pink head. The nose is musty, horse blanket, lots of funky yeasty character, tart, cherry skins, nice acidity. Flavor is tart, nicely attenuated, dry, yeasty, cherry skin, some rubbery phenol. Palate is tart and yeasty. miketd (685), Cleveland, Ohio, USA

The pour yields a very hazy strawberry-ruby colored body. A fizzy, off-white head settles quickly to a thin film with a prominent edge. Minimal, random spots of lacing dot the glass. The nose is very sour, tart cherries and citric essences dominating, with a heavy barnyard funk overtone that is just beautiful. Horseblanket, dust, and countryside air all make an appearance. Flavors follow the sour, funky persuit. Tart, tannic cherry skins and sharp, acidic lemon peel pack a punch, working hand in hand with the dusty, dry, farmhouse yeast flavors. Medium to light bodied and lively carbonated, the finish is clean and bone dry, with lingering puckering effects. This is a great kriek. I think it can hang right up there with some of the big dogs of the lambic world. BeerVirgin72 (814), Pataskala, Ohio, USA

Sweet aroma of soured candy. Flavor was sour sour sour cherries, tarts, and red wine vinegar. I sure wish I could learn to like the sour ones, because they sure are interesting.
