Having said that, it pours a cherry (not surprising) red color, with a bit of carbonation. Smells of cherries, similar to cough syrup. Tastes like a cherry cough syrup, but smooth. Overall, I liked the Framboise lambic I had more, but this wasn’t horrible. bermod (119), Jyväskylä, Finland

| 2.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 2/10 | 2/5 | 10/20 | Jan 3, 2009 375 mL bottle purchased at Leaf and Ale in Knoxville. Poured a cloudy red color, almost like CoolAid that hadn’t settled our too well. Aroma was nice with strong cherry notes. This definately had a similar nose to the red NyQuil. Flavor was putrid. The cherries present in the nose tasted more like the fake stuff in cherry candy. The mouthfeel was way too thick and sticky for a beer of this type. Oh well. It was worth a try. willblake (2177), Belcamp, Maryland, USA
| 2.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 5/10 | 1/5 | 10/20 | Jan 1, 2009 20081231 750ml bottle. Dark red-brown color with tall, lasting head of pale pink foam. Aroma is sweet like canned cherry pie filling, but that’s not so bad, plus light cookie and faint cork/cellar. I don’t get the medicinal many people talk about and anyway I like cherry flavored stuff. Who doesn’t? Body is overly thick, verging on cloying sweetness, and yet finishing with an acrid note that is quite off-putting. Flavor notes of dusty cellar, light dirt, and gobs of sweet-tart cherries. Seems to get right to the point of what it’s supposed to be. fidelis83 (725), Clinton, Iowa, USA
| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 4/5 | 13/20 | Dec 31, 2008 Pours a hazy red witha 2 finger creamy white head that has excellent retention. Aroma is of cherry Icee, Cherry Ludens, wheat and maybe a litttle actual sweet cherry. Flavor is better, super sweet cherry, slightly earthy wheat, mellow spicy and banana yeastinessa hint of lemon and some very slight funk. Way too sweet and lacking in complexity. ironchefscott (342), portland, Oregon, USA

| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Dec 29, 2008 Bottle from AlohaCs party. Pomegranite color. We debated what the smell was. My best description was Sucrets, the throat lozenges I used to take for a sore throat when I was a kid. The taste is sweet. Much better tasting than it smelled.
