Delicious lambic. My only problem with it is the fact that after I opened it it blew up and sprayed everywhere. The run across my new light colored carpet felt like forever and I lost half the bottle on the way. Nice strong cherry aroma. Pour was a dark red with a huge 3 finger off white head. Taste was sweet and refreshing. Sweet cherry and medium carbonation. Great.

Bottle. Pours an amazing red with a pinkish head that stays. The dominant taste is cherry and tartness. A real experience, while it shares a lot with wine coolers, the underlying taste and body is distinctly beer. Good.

Grows on you. Almost overpowering at first then mellows out as you drink it. Ruby red with thick frothy head. Aroma and taste of sweet cherries. Finishes dry.

Re-rate 5/25/08: Bottle. Clear deep red color with a pretty and stable pinkish head. Nice cherry aroma with some woody notes, a bit of sugar and marzipan. Flavor is sweet, a bit candy-ish, with cherries, sugar and light acidic notes. Light to medium-bodied with a rather sticky mouthfeel. Enjoyable but I would take a lambic with no fructose, cherry flavouring, sugar substitute and abscorbic acid over this any day. 7/4/6/3/13=3.3

Bottle in some small café in Brussels. Deep red with a pink head. Cherry aroma. Flavor is sweet with cherry and some acidity. Medium-bodied. 7/3/7/3/14=3.4

Light red color, whispy almost nonexistant head, strong cherry aroma, high cabonation, sweet cherry flavor with a lingering strong but not as sweet cherry aftertaste. Much like a cherry wine or champange.

The body rolls from the bottle a thick, syrupy looking dark red. The head that forms is thin, modestly retained, bright pink. The aroma is nearly overwhelming, authentic sweet cherries just tumbling from the glass. Also noted is the distinct scent of freshly baked Stollen, candy sugar and tartness. the signs of open fermentation with wild yeasts are just a mellow sidebar. The flavor is highly sweet and mostly tart cherries, followed closely by sugars both real and artificial, light yeast and lightly toasty cereal grain. Acidity is relatively high and copmplimentary but repressed. Minor hints of wild yeast sneak out every now and then. The finish is sticky sweet and enduring, gradually becoming more tart. The mouthfeel is very full, lowly carbonated and very sticky and slick. Simple and enjoyable and by no means anywhere close to a traditional fruit lambic. There is a time and a place for this beer. It is a great companion to many desserts and could certainly pass as a dessert itself.

[Sampled to CH. final: Porto - Monaco: 1-0 in 2004.] My firstfruitbeer and it was really a great exp. I swallowed it all in a second at despite its Kijafa-flavor it’s not that bad. But now I’ll serve it in the oude version.
