| 2.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 4/5 | 3/10 | 3/5 | 8/20 | Aug 20, 2006 color was a deep red, with a frothy pink head. smelled like cherries and not much else. mouthfeel.. a little bit syrupy. tasted mostly like "robitussen", my friend said; he wasn’t too far off-course. although it has "real cherries" , the cherry flavor was a lot more artificial and oversweetened than i was expecting - while new glarus belgian red is heavy on the cherry flavor, it is a lot more like drinking real cherry juice than this was; this was like sucking on cherry candy while tasting a small bit of lambic. behind all the sugar and cherry flavor was a bit of a woody, funky taste, with a tiny bit of tartness, but not enough to balance things out. i guess it’s a good way to get people trying lambics, especially because it doesn’t scare off people as easily (my first lambic was a lindeman’s framboise before i knew what lambic was), but i won’t be drinking this one again. | 2.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 8/20 | Aug 13, 2006 Bottled. It had the color of dark cranberry juice, and a small, frothy, pinky/ purple head. The aroma was straight- up Luden’s Cherry Cough Drops. Very sweet and one- dimensional. The flavor was similiar, but with a little added acidic tartness. More like an alcho-pop than any beer I’ve had. JohnnyJ (1352), Carlsbad, California, USA

Smell of strong sweet cherries. Tastes like cherries... Imagine that!!! Very sweet dark cherry flavor, which was good until it reminded me of cough syrup. Good beer except for that medicine flavor. Poured a deep red with foamy red head. Very strong aroma of fresh cherries. Medium carbonated, taste of fresh, slightly sour black cherries just like mom and dad used to make us pick. Reminded me of eating them right off the tree. fuyajo (225), Portland, Oregon, USA
| 2.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 4/10 | 2/5 | 7/20 | Aug 6, 2006 I didn’t like this drink. I had New Glarus’ Belgain Red, which was delicious. This had a great smell and looked good, but the taste didn’t appeal to me as much as New Glarus’ brew. I really disliked the palate. ohnoitskristin (62), Santa Cruz, California, USA
| 1.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 1/10 | 4/5 | 3/10 | 1/5 | 3/20 | Aug 4, 2006 1 pint 9.4 oz bottle. Poured a deep cheery color and a small pink head. The aroma was exactly the scent of cherry cough syrup. The taste was almost the same, very syrup-cherry consistancy and I really didn’t enjoy it and I wouldn’t buy it ever again. | 2.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 1/5 | 3/10 | 3/5 | 5/20 | Aug 1, 2006 Botte 0,5l at 3,5%. Deep red colour. A quite shortlived pink head. A bubbling first impression then there is raspberry again and again. Tried it together with cloudberry with sugar and cream - and it was defenitely a nice combination as a dessert. keoki182 (305), West Bend, Wisconsin, USA
| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | Jul 28, 2006 I don’t know anything about fruit lambics, but Lindemans Kriek is a nice start to the style. It smelled of cherries, of course. Specifically, it reminded me of those cherry Twizzlers Bites. The color was magenta-red, with a light pink ring of head around the tulip glass. The flavor was a sort of musty tart cherry, but still very delicious. This was a good and unique beer.
