Clear amber honey colored body. Really nose nose of soft honey malt and an aged character consisting of dusty, earthy sourness. Fruity and sweet up front, low carbonation, but holding up well with age. Dusty, musty flavor, does not have an intense sourness or pucker factor, but still quite acidic yet remaining somewhat soft on the palate. Light honey and apple pie finish. A nice gem. MaltDawg (287), Richmond, Virginia, USA May 16, 2008 1996 993/1042 courtesy of Immy at RB Richmond Gathering. Slightly cloudy straw colored with almost no head. Aroma of cherries, sour apple, and wet wood. Complex flavors include oak, horse blanket, some sour cherry and lots of other stuff like maybe some cedar and tobacco. Light mouthfeel with some sourness, well carbonated. Thanks Immy for sharing such a special beer.
