Had this late in the day - and needed it as a refresher after many other stronger beers. As such, at 3.5% it fitted the bill quite well. But is it beer? Definite cold tea, fruity and lemony. Sobered me up good and proper, and left me needing a beer... cgarvieuk (4212), Edinburgh, Scotland
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 2/5 | 14/20 | Oct 11, 2007 Bottle at home and a pleasant suprise. First off it doesnt drink like a beer, no real hop or malt character. but it is quite pleasent to drink, and as such i have scored it... Nice amber colour ... slightly sour and lemon tart nose ... definitly some tea in the base but mostly lemon and lemon peel. maeib (4766), Wootton, Northampton, Northamptonshire, England
| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 2/5 | 12/20 | Sep 24, 2007 Bottled. A fizzy mid brown coloured beer with a slight off-white coloured head. The aroma has a Lipton Ice tea feel to it together with some woody notes. The taste is sweet and sour. Sticky around the mouth. Some wierd notes which presumes to be tea. Lemon notes but also light berries. Unusual but quite drinkable. boboski (1095), Alabama, USA
| 1.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 2/5 | 3/10 | 2/5 | 7/20 | Aug 28, 2007 Pours a cloudy orange with ruddy tan hues. A small off-white head is quickly and fully receding. The aroma is much like the standard, semi-sweet gueuze produced by this brewery, with additions of soil, lemon, light black tea leaves (dried out and nearly useless). Light acidity is foremost in the flavor, followed by more tea notes and sweetness. The finish is sweet and lemony with too little acidity and too much astringency. Mouthfeel is medium bodied, very watery and oily, exceptionally boring. Awful. wetherel (1641), Encinitas, California, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Jul 2, 2007 Bottle from Takanaya in Tokyo. OK, I hate myself when I rate Lindemans. I have a terrible sweet tooth, so I am biased when rating sweeter beer. I also don’t like using the word beer for Lindemands, maybe beersoda is better. Pours yellow with hint of orange. I would expect a redder tea color for this beer. Little or no head. Aroma of sugar and lemon. Not bad, maybe a little nice, because of the refreshing cleaness of the aroma. Taste is very sweet, whoa. Sourness is very mild, don’t expect a gueze. OK, I did it. I rated it only a 3.3, which is less than 7 of the highest raters. Great. My Japanese mother in law loves it, and calls it better than Still Naught. jimhilt (1689), Bow, New Hampshire, USA
| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Jun 25, 2007 From my notes 6/1/2007 pours a two-finger white head that fades to a thin layer leaving some lace. Almost clear amber color. Spicy nose. Good carbonation and light-medium bodied. Flavor is a spicy tea with some sweetness, clean finish. Different but once is enough. Best by Oct 19, 2009. €2.00 ($2.74) for a 250ml bottle from de Bier Tempel Brussels, Belgium. Bart (1664), Brussels, Belgium
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Jun 19, 2007 Amber coloured beer with some light carbonation and an average white head. Light sourish herby aroma. Fresh fruity , lemonlike little sourish taste. Finish is bitter, sour and fruity. Nice refreshing but no real tea flavor. leaparsons (4748), Leicester, Leicestershire, England
| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | May 18, 2007 Bottle. Golden brown with no head. Aromas are brown sugar, quickly overcome by lots of sour lemon. Tea in the background. Flavours are initially sweet, but then quite acidic lemon. Dry tea follows along with good floral notes. Better than expected.
