Tasted at the 6th Annual Triple Rock Firkin Fest on 4/4/2009. This ESB pours a medium orange gold color from the firkin. Medium sized white foamy head. The aroma is fruity, estery, banana and bubblegum. A medium bodied ESB. The malts are fruit and sweet. Lots of fruitiness. Wonder if it is from the steam yeast. Hops are earthy and floral. Nice soft carbonation. It is almost too sweet, but there are just enough hops to balance it out. Interesting concept here a hoppt ESB brewed with a steam lager yeast. Mouthfeel is full and round. Finish is clean and smooth. Aftertaste is sweet.
