The aroma is a pleasant mix of spices (nutmeg, allspice, some cardamon) with slight pumpkin and caramel malts. Tasted of aforementioned spices with a cinnamon sweetness, a bit of pumpkin cake, leading to caramel and a decent hop bite towards the end. Well balanced, and quite drinkable. Possible the best all around pumpkin ale I have had to date.....and I wasn’t expecting to find it at the Lion. tupalev (2618), Waterloo, Ontario, Canada
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Oct 27, 2008 On tap at the brewpub. Light t medium orange pour, small white head. Pleasant aroma of pumpkin pie spice and some nutmeg/cinnamon. Good taste - clean lager body with spices added, well balanced. House yeast still present, but does not detract. I really enjoyed this simple well made pumpkin ale and was thrilled to find it on tap. Nice job. Spab (306), Toronto, Ontario, Canada

Light body, almost watery. matt7215 (995), Cambridge, Ontario, Canada
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Oct 16, 2008 on tap. served a slightly hazed copper in a frozen mug (damn every time i come here i plan on asking for the brew not to be served in one of these). mild spice aromas over pale malt aromas. flavours are typical of their regular offerings with some pumpkin pie spice added. i really didnt get alot of actual pumpkin in this one but the pumpkin spice was nice. this ale is not all that different from other offerings from this brewpub but this is still an enjoyable seasonal brew. pootzboy (1048), Hawgville, Ontario, Canada

Taps a darker clear copper-amber color with a smallish cap that laces well.
Demure aroma spices, grains light pumpkin muskiness.
Subtle flavor profile both spices and pumpkin not over stated but well balanced/integrated with the amber ale character...Malty body accented with spices and golding hops, mellow herbaceous-eathy middle and clean sharp finish with a spicy-biscuit aftertaste.
