| 1.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 3/10 | 3/5 | 3/10 | 2/5 | 7/20 | Feb 28, 2009 Deep gold with a chill haze. Well, it smells like a champ. The aroma is full of sweet grains and some sour canned fruit stuff. Malt-accented palate with reasonable alcohol. Tastes a bit cidery, but also really sweet, and with some paint-like phenols. It’s going to lose points for a distinctly gluey finish. Not much good in this, time for me to move on. jcwattsrugger (5573), Florida and, New Jersey, USA

| 2.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 9/20 | Jun 4, 2009 Bottle… Clear yellow lager with a small, creamy, white head. The aroma is a bit lactic and vinous – smells a touch like white wine. Medium to full-bodied with lively carbonation. Leans on the sweet side of balance. Obligatory, mild bitterness. Sweet, minerally finish. Cletus (5058), Connecticut, USA

| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Jul 26, 2009 Bottle from Binny’s Beverage Depot, Willowbrook, Illinois: It poured a clear golden body with a respectable head that didn’t want to hang around for too long. The aroma was sweet fresh grain with a dollop of honey and a dash of diesel fuel... the last not strong enough to be too detrimental. The flavor was much the same with little to cut the sweetness besides the alcohol. Oddly, tho, it was fairly drinkable... and warming. JPDIPSO (4932), Wauwatosa, Wisconsin, USA
| 2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 3/10 | 2/5 | 4/10 | 4/5 | 7/20 | May 21, 2007 So this imperial "thing" has carried over to Sri Lanka. Bring it on! Light golden color with a full off-white head. Dust malt and corn aromas. Hints of alcohol mix with the corn. The longer this one warms the worse it smells. Light floral sweetness couples with pale malt and light corn syrup. A somewhat sharp middle with a lightly acidic/acetic bite that carries to the finish and linger. Full bodied and sort of silky. Finish is simple and just has a grain induced light alcohol sweetness. A malt liquor by any other name... Tmoney99 (4783), Cincinnati, Ohio, USA
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Dec 3, 2006 Bottle. Poured clear golden color with a large white frothy head that was mostly lasting with excellent lacing. Moderate sweet grassy aroma. Medium body with soft carbonation. Medium bittersweet flavor with a medium sweet finish of moderate duration with no alcohol bite. bhensonb (4361), Woodland, California, USA
| 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 4/5 | 4/10 | 4/5 | 12/20 | Dec 9, 2008 Bottle from Total WIne in Roseville. Darker gold color with a 3-finger white head. Aromas of grain and spicey hop. Medium body with creamy carbonation. It’s certainly different. It shows heat. It is grainy. It suggests a malt liquor in effect, but a top end version. Interesting.
