Grainy grassy aroma is a bit wonky. Thin flavour, light grassy bitterness is almost unpleasant. Average palate. A large disappointment after trying the stout! Borup (1360), Albertslund, Denmark

| 2.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 3/5 | 4/10 | 2/5 | 9/20 | Dec 26, 2006 Pours light golden with a good sized head. Aroma isn’t much different than other lagers. Slightly sweet flavor, not much else. Watery. Tmoney99 (4800), Cincinnati, Ohio, USA
| 2.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 2/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 10/20 | Dec 13, 2006 Bottle from Jungle Jim’s. Clear dark amber color with small frothy white head that was mostly diminsihing. Average sweet hoppy aroma. Light body with thin texture. Light sweet hoppy flavor with short finish. This beer did not meet my expectations. cewldre (268), Cincinnati, Ohio, USA
| 2.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 2/5 | 4/10 | 2/5 | 8/20 | Dec 12, 2006 625mL bottle: Pours a bright gold color with a small white head. Smell seems a bit soapy. Taste seems to have a very, very slight, apple type taste, with a bit of a soapy aftertase. Doesn’t seem to have much of a taste. ALLOVATE (1126), Perth, Australia
| 1.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 3/10 | 2/5 | 3/10 | 2/5 | 4/20 | Nov 30, 2006 Form the brewers of one of the world’s finest foreign extra stouts to this on the complete, other end of the beer spectrum. Pours a dull gold, wonderfully bright and crowned by a flaccid, soapy white head, that, to my amazement, lasted the distance. Slight eggy fart and rubber start to the nose, then some soggy cardboard blends in with little else, enticing no? Aroma was off-putting, making tasting it a chore. Mmmm, rusted car bodies, lovely. I don’t think this one travels well. Sherbetty sweet and zingy like Whizz-fizz™ otherwise. Harshly fizzy with a grape-skin astringency on the swallow. All rust after that with a heavy linger in the mouth. Pretty awful, really. I stand a little disappointed, need to get some Sinha stout just to bring me back. | 1.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 4/10 | 2/5 | 5/20 | Nov 19, 2006 Bottle. Very light gold, with a thick head that laces well. The aroma is malt and not much else. A bit flat tasting. But, not too bad for a beer that’s traveled half way around the world (unrefrigerated I suspect). beergut111 (210), Toronto, Ontario, Canada
| 1.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 3/10 | 3/5 | 4/10 | 2/5 | 7/20 | Nov 11, 2006 Bottle from the Pack. I love the stout but did not enjoy this. A boring lager, it was very flat and syrupy.
