First I get a fruity, watery, rice, artificial taste. But it gets too watery. It’s like you should cook rice in a beer and then serve it in a bottle and you put a label of a lion on it. I like the idea but not the taste. Another bad Asian beer wich I could call only drinkable. mkel07 (550), Brisbane, Australia
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | Mar 21, 2009 330ml bottle. Golden amber colour with a small puffy white head of dense foam. Clear with an aeroma of malt and a slight burnt toffee flavour with a nice aftertaste. dkachur (2414), Charlottesville, Virginia, USA

Pours a clear golden color with a large fizzy head. Poor head retention and lacing. Very grainy aroma with strong corn notes. Taste is grain and grass with some fruity notes. Bitter finish. Thin bodied. nick76 (2678), Tampa, Florida, USA
| 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Jan 27, 2009 The aroma is metallic and watery with a little bit of horse blanket as well as sweet malt and floral hops. The appearance is deep gold with haze and some floating particles. The head is small and sudsy. The flavor is in no way funky. Its strait malt and a touch of grass. I like it. The palate is not as watery as the aroma would suggest. It is smooth from carbonation. Overall this is one of the most refreshing and surprising lagers I have had in awhile. | 1.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 2/10 | 2/5 | 4/10 | 2/5 | 7/20 | Jan 19, 2009 A Mes rate. Yet another I have to thank Dave for. Clean dark gold with a decent white head. According to Casper it smells of post sick covered, shampooed carpet. According to Dave it smells of a mental institution. Personally, I’m somewhere in between. A reasonable fruity lager in the mouth. Slight vanilla sweetness with a faint mineral note in the finish. Bland but thankfully far less offensive than the aroma. Slight bacon fat. Just about drinkable, as long as you hold your nose. altonbrownd (1955), Amsterdam, Netherlands

| 1.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 2/10 | 3/5 | 3/10 | 1/5 | 7/20 | Jan 14, 2009 Pours a three-finger white head that fades quickly leaving some lace. Crystal clear pale amber color. Light carbonation and light-medium bodied. Grassy nose. Flavor is pitiful - sweetish, watery, occasional hops, slight dry metallic finish. No improvement since I had this in April 2002. Didn’t read the label (I know RTFL) thought I was buying Lion Stout which is excellent. $1.35 for a 330ml bottle from Tully’s Beer & Wine Wells, Me. "Smells of mental hospital" said Dave. Like vomit that’s been carpet shampooed. Clear yellow, small white head. Rather creamy palate, quite smooth but then you get the aftertaste, which is like a cheap cream soda or ice cream float. Get it away from me.
