Sri Lankist? whatever you call it, this is my second one. Other than being Sri Lankinoid, it was pretty unremarkable. Thanks to Springslicker for this one! BeerAteHer (384), St. Paul, Minnesota, USA
| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 5/5 | 11/20 | Sep 25, 2004 Has a nice pitch-white head with big bubbles but this disappears quickly leaving a film and lacing. At the point the beer LOOKS as if it’s gone flat, but this is an illusion as the carbonation actually is well-contained and flows freely in the mouth. Aroma is zesty grapefruit quality - definitely not skunk - but with a touch of axle grease. This is a crisp beer that feels good going down. The aftertaste is rather papery, however. Flavorwise the one thing I can say is that Lion Lager is quite unique. It's really not that bad and I'm surprised at its low average rating. Malt is dominant and hops are present as well, balanced along with some harder to define etherial elements on the back of the tongue, as if its orange-copper color come from [turkey] ham and real copper! I highly doubt this, but of course this beer is from Sri Lanka ... haha! thegreenrooster (1835), St.louis, Missouri, USA
| 2.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 3/10 | 2/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 8/20 | Sep 10, 2004 Pours yellow with a small white head. Aroma is malty but the flavor is very light and bland. Nothing really good about this one but then again nothing really bad for a lager. Better lager than any BMC. Ungstrup (15234), Frederiksberg, Denmark
| 2.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 4/10 | 2/5 | 8/20 | Sep 8, 2004 An orange beer with a white disappearing head. The aroma is slightly sour with notes of hops, straw, and grain. The flavor is slightly sweet with notes of hops. The mouthfeel is thin and very carbonated. A boring beer. mullet (798), Melbourne, Australia

The most interesting thing about this beer is that it smells strongly of marijuana smoke. And it comes in possibly the heaviest 330mL bottle I’ve ever come across. The beer itself isn’t too bad. It kinda smells a bit like dry biscuits and toast, with a decent but light malt flavour and a rough, but not overly bitter, finish. It pisses me off that shops in these parts get this in and choose not to get this brewery’s stout. Fuming. SpringsLicker (2043), Tennessee, USA

Virtually no aroma slight vegetable.
Slightly chalky mouthfeel, but really no flavor either. Watery and this would be good to drink when you want a water. OlJuntan64 (1267), Perth, Australia
| 1.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 3/10 | 3/5 | 3/10 | 2/5 | 6/20 | Aug 11, 2004 Mine was also a Sinha @ 4.8%. Pale amber clear with a full coating of bubbles on the glass under a medium smal l shortish lasting off white head. Aroma is faintwoody herbal hop bitter. Body is very light to watery, with low carb flat cola mouth feel. Light sweet watery sugar candy malt and light metallic stale bitter flavour. Mediocre and relatively characterless even for a lager.
