| 1.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 3/10 | 2/5 | 3/10 | 2/5 | 7/20 | Oct 6, 2007 Bottle. Poured pretty dark for a lager; the gold tone was a honey-amber color. The head was small and rapidly disappeared. The nose is very faint sweet malts. The taste is flat. There is some sweet honey malt but it’s extremely subtle. The finish is watery with some lingering malt flavor. This reminds me of zero-calorie Nestea with an artificial sweetener. Now I know what they do with all that extra water every year when Sri Lanka floods. fro2218 (466), Atlanta, Georgia, USA

| 2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 2/10 | 3/5 | 3/10 | 2/5 | 10/20 | Sep 29, 2007 330ml Bottle: Time to start the backlog of ratings from this year. I’m a huge fan of the Lion (Sinha) Stout but entered into the lager with apprehension. Poured quite light yellow, but with a large white head. The aroma was somewhat nasty, much of that vegetable/corn smell I’d hoped not to get, with hints of some kind of bright sweetness. The taste was as expected - extremely grainy, cardboard (what causes this?), boredom. The best thing about it was the bottle was small. Fin (3466), Merton, Oxfordshire, England
| 2.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 10/20 | Sep 23, 2007 Bottle picked up Sri Lanka by Loz’s parents Mid gold in colour with tight white fizzy head. A flourish of bitter lager hops initially that quickly subsides to reveal a sweet, soft tasting lager, not bad but can become tiresome. gunnfryd (3614), Kristiansand, Norway
