Mar 21, 2009 330ml bottle. Golden amber colour with a small puffy white head of dense foam. Clear with an aeroma of malt and a slight burnt toffee flavour with a nice aftertaste.

Dec 11, 2000 Quite good, prefer their stout. Nice fresh nose and a bit hoppier than most lagers.

May 23, 2005 Updated: Mar 25, 2006Some people must have got this guy skunked. Perhaps the crispest beer i’ve ever had. Goes down very smooth and has a taste that will make you smile and say Thats good beer.

Apr 21, 2002 Good beer. Much better than the lion stout. The foil around the cap makes this look like your drinking some high-priced, high-class beer when it is really nothing more than a slightly better version of Bud Light.

Jan 28, 2007 Golden and slightly carbonated. Very clear appearance and slightly dry.Fairly run of the mill lager, not in the same class as their wonderful stout.

Feb 11, 2006 [This bottle was brought back to me from Sri Lanka and the abv was 4.8%.] Bohemian noble hops aroma with faint crisp malt and nothing offensive. Only wispy white mist over a bright gold drink. Nice fresh hops up front in good balance with crisp sweet malt. No skunk, corn, or pissy yellow characteristics, other than the hops variety. Medium body with medium carbonation and a clean finish. This beer is right up there with the good Czech pilsers--I wonder whether the product that you buy in North America is different than what you get in Ceylon. Very nice.

Oct 2, 2008 22oz bottle: Pale yellow body with a rising, white cap that leaves a good amount of lace. Mild aroma is pleasant and non-offensive. Light notes of straw, wheat and buttery caramel fill the nose. Spritzy carbonation. The remains mild and off-flavor free with more light caramel and straw. Finishes with a lightly grassy notes, without lending too much bitterness and overpowering the finesse of this beer. This is a pale lager that I would reach for again.
