Commercial Description:
A college favorite, Lionshead carries the traditional lion symbol painted on the outside of The Brewery since the early days of brewing in Wilkes-Barre. It is a crisp, clean, easy drinking American lager-pilsner style beer made with the finest American malts, corn, and hops.

Dear Lion Brewery, Thank you for making Lionshead so cheap. Thanks to the cheapness, I was able to consume over 50 cases of your beer in 2 months with my friend Bilbo.

A little too sweet for me. We had thi s because friends drank it at college so we needed to bring back old times. It was clean and crisp and had a sweetness that I did not care for overall.

12 oz bottle for 59 cents Poured pale gold color. Almost no head and no lacing. Aroma was of sweet malt, some grass, almost no hops detected. Flavor actually had some complexity. There was a sweetness and a sourness to the flavor. Easy to drink, as the palate was very thin. Overall, not especially great, but for the price it wasn’t too bad.

This beer is so good you may pee your pants. One-way Dante did. I also hear it has bits of real lion in it.

This looks good , a clear yellowish gold with lively bubbling and a respectable fizzy white head. But the aroma is a really sweet, honeyed bread with a grassy and metallic bitterness. The sweetness continues into the flavor and the bitterness takes on a mineral water tone. The finish is tinny.

Cool price, sweet puzzles, and the labels can be easily peeled off and stuck on walls. What more could you want from a beer? More taste? Not bad for a cheap beer though. Better than other choices anyday.
