Commercial Description:
A college favorite, Lionshead carries the traditional lion symbol painted on the outside of The Brewery since the early days of brewing in Wilkes-Barre. It is a crisp, clean, easy drinking American lager-pilsner style beer made with the finest American malts, corn, and hops.

Quite possibly the closest I’ve come to water in a beer. Neither offensive nor flavorful.

Draft at lunch at the local with the wife. The last time I was at the local, we were discussing picks in this years "Death Pool" Other than my perrenial pick of Mark David Chapman, I had Billy Mays as my main pick of the year... Needless to say, the bartenders first words were "You picked Billy Mays! You get a free beer!" I picked this one. so thank you Mr. Mays for giving yourself Cocaine induced cardiac arrest! This was not a standout product ....like mighty putty. Thick head in the mug club mug, a hazy musty yellow in the glass. Nose is weak, and I strained to pull much from it other than some whispy grassiness. Body is light and on the quick side. finish is muddled and does not flow. Watery caramel with some weak hop zing. Meh.

Pale straw colour with a thin white head. The nose is quite dirty over a lot of lean pale malt. Thin-bodied and without a whole lot really going on. Quite macro-esque.

Bottle from a case. Pours a pale body with a white head. Very thin and slick. Musky husky corn and dingy malt with a hint of moth and berry. Not so good.

Draft: I sampled this from a friend’s cup. As pale lagers go, this isn’t the worst, but I can’t say I was impressed. I’m glad I got to try the draft version (which doesn’t seem that common). Yeasty and fruity but finishes uncomfortably dry.

Faint malt and hay aroma. Hazy golden with a thin head. Sour malt flavor. Hay finish. This is just a no frills type of beer. It costs less than a macro in a lot of places. I would drink it again.

Slightly sweet, a little watery, but not offensive. Beats other "college beers" rather handily. OK for young guys on a budget, students playing drinking games.

Pale gold, little head. Aroma is faintly of sweet corn. Flavor matches. Faint hint of hay on the finish. Not awful, but not much going on here.
