beastiefan2k (1172), Lawrence (formely NYC), Kansas, USA Oct 13, 2008 Sampler @ brewpub. Clear brown color with a slightly sticky lacing. Aroma is thick caramel malts with just a bit of spiky hops coming through. Taste is of light hoppiness (earthy) and a light caramel flavor underneath that. Easy drinking beer, not weak at all though. Very clean and fun.
BlackDonald (1039), North Carolina, USA Jul 30, 2008 This is pretty standard for am amber ale. Toasty caramel and a hint of dried fruits, some bitter herbal hoppiness. A hint of nuttiness here and there. The finish just ends after you swallow, no lingering flavors at all. skoisirius (481), Seattle, Washington, USA Jul 12, 2008 One of the better in the lineup thus far. Very true amber color, white head. Faint plum aroma...surprising. Slight roast and nut in the flavor while also having a medium caramel note in there. Dies in the finish. For an amber, I’m happy. PhillyBeer2112 (1879), Orange Park, Florida, USA Mar 10, 2007 True amber color. Aroma leans to caramelized malts. Light note of herbal hops. Light roastiness, toasty. Fair. jhumphries69 (571), Tyrone, Georgia, USA Nov 13, 2006 Updated: Mar 13, 2007Pours copper with an off-white head. The aroma has a touch of hops and lots of caramel. The flavor is similar - lots of caramel, some hops. The malts are a little weak in the flavor, and not particularly spicy (like typical american amber ales). The mouthfeel is very light. Not an offensive beer for sure, but not interesting.
