gws57 (988), Saint Charles, Illinois, USA Aug 17, 2008 Had this one on draught at the brewpub in Hays, Kansas. Clear, amber pour with a thick off white head, balanced flavor especially for an IPA, pear, maple syrup and rosiness, very good but a bit unusual for the style! BlackDonald (1040), North Carolina, USA Jul 30, 2008 This is a really simple IPA that is on the lighter side. The hop nose smelles really fresh and lcean with some citrus and pine notes, light toffee maltiness with a bitter resiny finish that ligners for quite a while. Decent and drinkable. skoisirius (450), Seattle, Washington, USA Jul 12, 2008 Being a NW trooper, IPA’s have a lot to stand up to. We have here a light golden brown color, not much retention. Sweet flowery aroma. Hop profile is definitely present over the malt, but not overbearing like I’m used to. VERY resiny...especially through the finish...which is nice. Enjoyable...but could use a bit of OOMPH. Sledge Jr (2708), Omaha, Nebraska, USA May 26, 2007 On tap at the Parkville Microbrew Festival. Loved this beer as well. Pours amber with an off-white head of solid stature. Superb citrus grapefruit hop aroma and flavor. Fresh hop grassyness throughout. Long tongue-blanching bitterness resides long after the beer has travelled down your gullet. tjthresh (1275), Greenfield, Indiana, USA Apr 29, 2007 Sample at the Parkville Microbrewers Festival. Clear amber with a dirty white head. Biscuit, herbs and plenty of esters in the aroma. Good and malty, with assertive bitterness. Very dry.
