Commercial Description:
Little Creatures was born to make a pale ale…a specific style of pale ale, a style that we are absolutely passionate about and one that we believe displays great balance of flavour and refreshment…complex yet highly drinkable. The beer's character is driven by the use of fresh whole hop flowers. Hop Flowers are carefuly selected that are bursting with aroma and contain all the essential oils and acids that deliver an uniqe flavour experience. Drink a few pints of this beer and you'll soon become one of us…a certified "hophead" craving those crisp citrus flavours of grapefruit and passionfruit and maybe a bit of honey, all backed up with a good balance of bitterness. If you're wondering what on earth malt or hops actually are then click on the two hop characters to the left and find out more. It's not just the hops that make Little Creatures Pale Ale what it is though. Selected malts are kilned in small batches to our specifications and are used exlusively in our pale ale. Two different yeasts are used to both ferment and bottle condition the beer. The latest technology and equipment is used to maintain absolute quality control and one of the main ingredients in the pale ale has got to be the amount of passion that it takes to produce a seriously good beer...we live for it! From brewing to release, a batch of pale ale takes about six weeks, allowing for two weeks conditioning in the bottle after packaging. No artificial preservatives or additives are included, just great ingredients.

Bottle from my sis in Melbourne. Poured light hazy gold with a small head. Hoppy aroma, some grapefruit. Medium to light body, with nice clean finish and moderate bitterness. Very nice pale ale.

Sweet hoppy aroma, some cutrus and pine. Hazy golden body with a small white head. Good sweet malt flavor, with a good kick of hops, ends bitter.

I was expecting big things and I was a little disappointed. Hoppy aroma and moderately hoppy bitter to taste, but no real distinct flavours. Dark golden in colour. Decent beer.

Bottled: Unclear golden colour. Off white fluffy head. Herbal and hoppy aroma. A little bland. Flavour is somewhat floral and has a light sweetness and hoppy notes. Ends on a nice mild bitterness balanced by some fruitsweetness. Quite easy to drink.

Cloudy golden colour with a reasonable head that left a trace of lacing on the glass. Aroma of lemon and herbs (possibly rosemary?) and a slightly soapy flavour with crisp bitterness, reminiscent of some European lagers. A good beer.

Hazy amber colour. Clean, fresh and hoppy. Lots of orangey citrus notes. Plenty of backbone. Tart finish. Well put together. A damn fine beer. Bottled.

Golden color with peaches, grapefruits and apples in the nose. Hoppy body, albeit a bit too light, citrusy hops are noticeable and a nice bitter finish.
