Commercial Description:
Little Creatures was born to make a pale ale…a specific style of pale ale, a style that we are absolutely passionate about and one that we believe displays great balance of flavour and refreshment…complex yet highly drinkable. The beer's character is driven by the use of fresh whole hop flowers. Hop Flowers are carefuly selected that are bursting with aroma and contain all the essential oils and acids that deliver an uniqe flavour experience. Drink a few pints of this beer and you'll soon become one of us…a certified "hophead" craving those crisp citrus flavours of grapefruit and passionfruit and maybe a bit of honey, all backed up with a good balance of bitterness. If you're wondering what on earth malt or hops actually are then click on the two hop characters to the left and find out more. It's not just the hops that make Little Creatures Pale Ale what it is though. Selected malts are kilned in small batches to our specifications and are used exlusively in our pale ale. Two different yeasts are used to both ferment and bottle condition the beer. The latest technology and equipment is used to maintain absolute quality control and one of the main ingredients in the pale ale has got to be the amount of passion that it takes to produce a seriously good beer...we live for it! From brewing to release, a batch of pale ale takes about six weeks, allowing for two weeks conditioning in the bottle after packaging. No artificial preservatives or additives are included, just great ingredients.

Bottle. Good head, and a very inviting, cloudy orange colour. The knockout (apart from the taste) is the nose..what a delight. Flavour follows the theme through, with a clean, though partly short, finish. I wish I’d found this a long time ago.

Draught. At the Australian in the Rocks in Sydney. Duff bought this one for me, thanks dude! Nice citrus and pine nose. This one smells like an American Pale Ale. Decently fluffy head sitting on top of a brew with a beautiful light orange color. A bit hazy. This is a nicely flavored almost IPA as it has all of the Cascade qualities. I really don’t taste the Saaz, but I’m sure they are in there. Nice sweet malty flavor balances well with the hop quality. Very solid beer... the best that I had in Australia I think.

Nice inviting spicey aroma, hint of Cascade like hops, but palate suggests higher alpha variety used - Columbus? Good malt balance, but a bit thin mouthfeel. Best Pale Ale I’ve had from Oz.

A truckload of people rate this and I can see why, quite refreshing. BUT it is just too busy for me, too much like a bottle of perfume.

Bottle. A very drinkable Pale Ale. Poured a golden amber colour with a small white head. Sweet with distinctive hops and just the right amount of bitterness. Recommended.

An amber beer with a nice head. The aroma is sweet and very hoppy as well as grassy - and so is the flavor.

Golden color with a white head. The taste is a slightly weak but nice body. Hops dominate the flavour. Very nice and hoppy palate.

Bottle. Slightly cloudy, dark golden colour. Malty/oxidized aroma. Bonbon/caramel flavour. Bitter, slightly astringent aftertaste.
