Commercial Description:
Little Creatures was born to make a pale ale…a specific style of pale ale, a style that we are absolutely passionate about and one that we believe displays great balance of flavour and refreshment…complex yet highly drinkable. The beer's character is driven by the use of fresh whole hop flowers. Hop Flowers are carefuly selected that are bursting with aroma and contain all the essential oils and acids that deliver an uniqe flavour experience. Drink a few pints of this beer and you'll soon become one of us…a certified "hophead" craving those crisp citrus flavours of grapefruit and passionfruit and maybe a bit of honey, all backed up with a good balance of bitterness. If you're wondering what on earth malt or hops actually are then click on the two hop characters to the left and find out more. It's not just the hops that make Little Creatures Pale Ale what it is though. Selected malts are kilned in small batches to our specifications and are used exlusively in our pale ale. Two different yeasts are used to both ferment and bottle condition the beer. The latest technology and equipment is used to maintain absolute quality control and one of the main ingredients in the pale ale has got to be the amount of passion that it takes to produce a seriously good beer...we live for it! From brewing to release, a batch of pale ale takes about six weeks, allowing for two weeks conditioning in the bottle after packaging. No artificial preservatives or additives are included, just great ingredients.

I was finding it hard deciding what i should choose for my 100th rate. I’ve got an abundace of classics in my cellar but couldn’t decide on which one. so i figured i’d go with this instead. Pours slightly hazy golden orange with a substantail off white coloured head. Aromas are dominated by hops: grassy & herbaceous with passionfruit and grapefruit hints. Early palate shows off the rather overt passionfruit notes while the mid palate brings some sweetish crystal malt. Finish is dominated by bitter and slightly astringent hops.

A wonderfull beer! The aroma reminds me of passionfruit, perhaps from cascade hops. Little Creatures is certainly not lacking in its flavour. This is a very drinkable beer, and I would have to rate it as one of Australias finest.

Really nice Aussie beer, as compared to other Aussies. First sniff is hoppy, hoppy, hoppy. Taste is similar. Palate isn’t fantastic but good. I really like the little creature indents in the bottles.

Yellow, golden colour and a bit unclear. Has a very lasting, white head. Standard aroma, perhaps some grass, hay. Flavor starts moderate sweet, malty and finish with a long lasting bitterness, real nice.

This is probably one of the best beers i have tasted, Dark and cloudy with a strong lasty head. The Flavors in this beer are complex and work well together, it has a nice mouthfeel and a good after taste. I was in heaven when i got to taste this beer at the brewery in perth and then again recently at the beerhouse in Melbourne... A fine Ale not to be taken for granted
