Great sweet aroma and taste. Hints of lemon, banana, clove, spice, and white oak. This is one of the best hefes I’ve ever had. It has a sweet, dry citrus taste and is loaded with flavor. It’s moderately carbonated, and has little head. It’s pretty smooth, but that dry fizzyness develops on the backend. Finish is smooth, light malty wheat with that little bit of sourness you get with all Live Oak beers, probably due to their horizontal mash tanks. There’s even a little bit of clumpy wheat particulate that made it through the tap when one gets to the bottom of the glass. AmEricanbrew (1932), orange, California, USA

LOH pours a cloudy pale color with a tight, white head with brown specks in it. Very pungent smell of spices, cloves, and citrus fruits.Big bodied with bubbly carbonation. The strong taste follows the smell with sweet tart wheat malts and a nice mesh of spices and citrus flavors. The finish is crisp and clean.
A very easy drinking, and very tasty beer here. Hefe’s don’t get much better than this.

It’s like a mix of scrotum and rotten fruit. I had to gargle kerosene to remove the taste. The mouthfeel, however, was world-class. MTP (13), Waco, Texas, USA

It almost appeard to be filtered and that certainly isn’t good for a Hefe. blank (998), Washington, Washington DC, USA

Once lemon was added, it became drinkable - but that is not how I prefer to drink my beers. Not the worst beer I’ve tasted, but nothing to write home about.
