hazy orange/copper, fluffy off white head, lacy. piney bitterness and floral hops in the nose. creamy caramel, sweet malt and floral hops in the flavor. medium bodied, lightly bitter finish. a milder ipa, that is quite a bit of fun. on tap at livery brewery. my 100th ipa rating.

On tap at Dusty’s Tap Room, Okemos. Translucent brown body, medium dense, creamy buff head. Bitter, sprucey, toasty nose, herbal, with a touch of bubblegum. Leafy, earthy body with pine and burnt leaves in additino to bubblegum. Toasty malts with light sweetness. Long, bitter finish. Quite enjoyable.

Pours a nice full hazy amber with some darker notes, prominent whitish head that clings and laces very well. Aromas are lighter but still floral hops come in, caramel and lighter pale malts. Initial takes on a similar feeling with good floral and citrus hoppiness, decent caramel and pale malts. Finishes lightly bitter with a nice sweetness thrown into boot. Light grapefruit, no real pine. A lighter IPA that is still quite enjoyable.

Ditto with BeerBaron617. I had a few sips from his beer, and wasn’t shocked or amazed with it - however the Jolly Pumpkin ale I got for myself sort of overshadowed this one. This beer certainly is a pretty average IPA. Nothing too remarkable about it, yet it is decent. Overall, I will have to try it again to make a better judgment, but it was OK.

I had this on tap at Ashley’s in Ann Arbor, MI. I could have sworn that I heard good things about this brewery, but I have to say this beer was really just average. It poured a nice dark brownish amber with an offwhite head. The aroma and flavor were plenty hoppy, and the finish was nice, it just wasn’t anything to write home about. My friend(MereLikesBeer) got some Jolly Pumpkin which clearly made this beer look like an AB product. Oh well.. Cheers!

Draft at Livery. Pours hazy orange with just a bit of white head. Grassy nose with low level citrus character and a bit of a tosted note. There sort of a peach flavor with a bitter grassy finish. Plenty of malt for balance. Medium body with quite a bit of carbonation. Dry bitter finish. Very average, and disappointing for the Livery.

Draft at The Livery. Poured a clear copper color with an average frothy white head that mostly lasted with excellent lacing. Moderate to heavy complex hoppy aroma. Medium body with slick texture. Medium bitter flavor with a medium bittersweet finish of moderate to long duration. This is a good drinkable brew.

Hazy coppery pour with a fluffy white head, disapating quickly, and emanating a moderate herbal/pine hope aroma. First taste is bready caramel maltiness with herbal/earthy/piney hop bitter bite most prominent in the finish. A touch too thin and watery to support the whole experience, but only a touch. Very drinkable. New sample Sunday 6/14/09: Four more points added to this fine example of an IPA...much improved in all catagories, especially the creamy palate. Big over-the-top hop bite and substantial malt sweetness anchoring it all...very, very, nicely brewed.
