Thanks again ya’ll! Pours dark amber color, quite still. Smells pretty hoppy, I didn’t know what to make of the style of this beer. Some hints of oak barrel showing through. Wild yeast influence is noticeable with the peppery and slightly acidic finish. Unique and easy to drink. wetherel (1641), Encinitas, California, USA

Shared with bikesandbeer and my gf cyn. Pours dark amber with a 1 finger off white head. A bit of caramel/toffee and dark dried fruit in the nose. Taste is very vinous with a big oaky brettyish taste. This is a big tasting sour with lots of oak and a bit of something I can’t place. There is bitterness here and some notes of hops. Overall this is really complex and damn fun. Awesome. drewbeerme (2309), Chicago, Illinois, USA

| 4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Jul 2, 2008 Tap at brewery: Deep murky brown with a small frothy head and some lace. The aroma has notes of walnut, caramel, toffee, pear, white wine, oak, vinous, hint of lacto, flowery and grassy hops, very interesting and complex nose.
The taste starts with a dash of malty notes before the sour and fruity acidic tones take over. Additionally there is some herbal and resiny bitterness found as well which becomes more noticeable as the beer warms. The finish is moderately oaky and tannic as well as a touch spicy.
The mouth feel is lively and crisp with the alcohol very well hidden, dry finish. Yet another wonderful barrel aged brew from Steve, heck yeah and keep them coming!
