Styles (1653), Taylor, Michigan, USA Dec 13, 2007 MBG fest 7-21-06. Hazy/murky dark copper, thick white head. Nice c-hop aroma up front, citrus and pine, faint caramel background. Flavor is citrus and pine through and through, almost no backbone to speak of. Carbonation really cleans the palate. Slightly unbalanced but in a good way. Highly sessionable IPA. 11026 (1886), USA Sep 27, 2006 Tap at MBG fest ’06. Nice IPA, a bit thin in body/mouthfeel, but overall a decent tasting product. A touch hazed, deep amber colored with a great retentive white head. Great lacing left for a fest pour in plastic. Nice hop aroma, certainly late additions and/or dry hopping was used, citrusy with light pine. Nice hop flavors, again heavy with citrus. A worthy effort! Tmoney99 (3636), Cincinnati, Ohio, USA Aug 26, 2006 Draft sample at the brewery. Poured hazy copper with an average frothy white head that was mostly lasting with good lacing. Heavy sour citrus hoppy aroma. Medium body with a slick texture. Medium bitter flavor with a medium bitter finish of long duration. Another very good beer. Ughsmash (3079), Waukesha, Wisconsin, USA Aug 18, 2006 On tap at the Great Taste of the Midwest. Poured a hazy, deeper peach with a short cap of well-retained off-white head. Nose was a huge pine assault accompanied by lighter citrurs fruits... a bit sweet. Flavor followed suit, rockin’ a whole bunch of pine and grapefruit bitterness... floral and a decent sweet base lie beneath. Heavier on the palate, and felt really good. Excellent brew! JCapriotti (1378), Milwaukee, Wisconsin, USA Aug 17, 2006 2006 GTMW. Dusty bright gold; solid white head. Nice cascade pine aroma. Flavor hits with a strong pine astringent citrus. Pretty good, but don’t like the dry/astringent component.
