RAYBOY01 (1623), Chicago, Illinois, USA Aug 10, 2008 Very nice English-style IPA. Classic pour, hazy golden and topped with a small thin head. Verynice biscuity/bread dough sweet malts and moderate earthy/herbal/floral hopping with a few citrus notes underneath as well. Very fruity yeast profile only adds to the fun. pantanap (749), Chicago, Illinois, USA Jul 3, 2008 cask-pull from the livery....poured a hazy golden orange medium brown with a thin soapy white head.... aroma of grassy citrus hops in the forefront and some biscuity malt....a full fruit flavor with the focus on citrus and earthy grassy hops in the finish. very smooth, mild and drinkable. masonjer (434), Lansing, Michigan, USA Jul 1, 2008 On cask at the brewpub. Poured a very cloudy orange/brown. Nose was herbal, slightly earthy. Taste was nice and smooth, some biscuit in the middle, as well as more earthy notes, and a nice bit of citrus on the finish. More towards an English style, but still with grass and citrus in the end. Very drinkable. BBB63 (3800), La Porte, Indiana, USA May 26, 2008 Cask at brewpub, served in pint glass: Very hazy deep amber with a small head and spotty lace. The aroma has notes of apple and pear yeast esters, grassy and herbal aromatic hops, biscuity malt and a slight peppery vapour. The taste is quite twangy and fruity throughout with a fresh light bitterness and chewy malt component. Peppery and flowery upon the finish. The mouth feel is very smooth and refreshing. A classic pub styled IPA (abit a tad too much alcohol for a session ale), LOVELY and even the local Brit seemed to like it quite a lot.
