Poured a hazy copper color with a small, off white head that left light lacing on the glass. Aroma of tangerine, grapefruit, pine, citrus fruits, and some light orange peel. Taste of grassy hops, pine, resin, caramel malts, with a grapefruit finish.

Growler - shared at the post Dark Lord festivities
Scents of flowers (specifically roses and tulips) merged with sweet toffee aromas as I sniffed the deep caramellly brown headless body. The taste was pleasant - grapefruit, pine, wheat and caramel all combined to form a nice complement of flavors. Solid and enjoyable - the Livery seems to have nailed this style pretty well.

On tap at MI brewer’s guild fest winter-06- Dark copper pour leaving behind an off white, thick anf foamy cap. Huge resin pine aromas pack a punch and deliver. Lots of hops here ladies and gents! Also in the mix is a very profound grapefruit jiuce aroma, literally this stuff smells like grapefruit jiuce, so cool. Big hop bite in the mouth, pine cones, earthy bitterness, with bread and citrus rind. FInish is strong, varnish is the word I wrote down, but not in a bad way. This stuff kicked my ass.

draught. orange-copper with a small soapy white head. lovely aroma! sweet caramel notes, bread, and plenty of orange hops. solid balanced body. not overwhelmingly hoppy but there is a definite chewy orange characteristic with an underlying bread flavour.

On tap: Big citrus hop aroma with some light apricot. Transparent orangish-amber with a soapy off-white head. Sweet apricot up front with a moderate citrus hop finish. Rather basic IIPA and not as big and bold as I prefer them to be.

Sampled from a growler at the Milwaukee YEHa!05 courtesy of BBB63: Pours a dark amber orange with a nicely-lacing off-white head. Gritty, sweet caramel sugar and nicely-balanced fresh citrus and piney hops dominate the aroma. Dry, lightly earthy and toasted bittersweet flavor. Finishes dry and sticky with some lingering pine and grapefruit. Could really use some more malt and bittering hops to be more true to style, but still a decent brew.

Hazy brown-red body. Green apple, grapefruit, pale malt in teh aroma. Pale caramel flavor with strong grapefruit skin. Strong hops but that’s about it.
