On tap at brewery and served in a snifter:
Murky reddish ornage hue with a small head and nice lacing. The aroma is sugary and hoppy with piney and earthy esters. The taste starts with a snappy hop bite followed by a fruity overtone and a hint of salty quality leading to a dry astrengent finish. There is a enough malt background for proper balance and a sappy nature that is interesting. The feel is lightly sticky and warming, the alcohol is still hidden well within the framework of the brew. This has a lot going for it and shows good promise for the future. Get ya some!

Dec 17, 2005 From BBB63. Pours to a deep mahogany body with a thin creamy white head. The aroma is pretty hoppy. Piney and citrusy. Spicy hops. The flavor is also spicy and hoppy. Good citrus and pine. A true pleasure. The palate is medium bodied and bitter. Good. Thanks Mike!

Dec 18, 2005 Growler from BBB63, thanks for sharing Mike. Piney hop aroma with a huge malty base that has lots of buttery caramel. Very malty aroma. Cloudy dark copper color with a thin white head. Very nice and balanced flavor with bright grapefruit and pine flavors with a wonderful brown sugar and caramel weizen type finish. Leaves a dry, bitter feeling in your mouth. This is delightful.

Jan 30, 2008 22 oz bomber hand bottled by BBB63. Pours a cloudy deep orange caramel with no head. Aroma of bitter citrus, pine resin and floral hoppiness. Taste of bitter orange citrus and grapefruit with notes of malt, pine resin and floral hops. Very good.

Dec 17, 2005 pours a mahogony color w/ a fluffy white head and some nice thick lacing. Big piney hop aroma some flower petals and a nice carmel malt. Full palate oily and lightly creamy. Flavor is orange and citrus hopo w/ some good pine and light grass hop as well and a balanced piece of carmel. This is a good IIPA.

May 2, 2006 Growler... DLD06... Clear, deep amber ale with a small, fizzy, off-white head. Notes of pine, caramel an dried apricot constitute the nose. The flavor is a marriage of rich, buttery caramel and freshly cut grapefruit. Full-bodied and oily with medium carbonation. Finishes lightly sweet, medium bitter and then dry.
