dm9831 (1167), Monee, Illinois, USA Oct 20, 2009 hazy gold, medium off white head, lacy. sweet malt in the nose with creamy caramel and cirtric hops. flavor is caramel, sweet malt, nicely offset with citric hops. medium bodied, lingering bitter finish. this would be worth repeating if i didn’t live so far away. and i had enough money left over on this trip for a growler. on tap at livery. danielcurtis81 (879), San Diego, California, USA Sep 13, 2009 BPW #81
On tap at the Livery. Appearance is pale gold with a white slightly lacing head. Nice light pine hop flavors with a touch of sweetness that builds from sip to sip. Not my hop profile of choice but decent.
awiseman01 (318), Indianapolis, Indiana, USA Sep 11, 2009 Dan’s Bachelor Party Extended Weekend Rating #80 of 90. On tap at The Livery. Board says "American DIPA". Pours hazy burnt yellow. Very inviting fresh citrus hop nose. Good hop bite, a little on the bitter side, lots of citrus...very yummy! On a side note this is the yellowest DIPA I’ve ever seen. HonkeyBra (1270), Lemont, Illinois, USA Sep 7, 2009 Golden orange body with white head. Nice, hoppy aroma. Flavor is very balanced and malty, with a citrus hop rush. A bit of sweetness too. Decent, but unspectacular DIPA. marchcow (664), Coralville, Iowa, USA Aug 10, 2009 On tap at the GTMW 09. Grapefruit domainant aroma with floral notes. Opaque gold body. Great and malty with a hopped out citrus and grapefruit accent, and a little vegetables and orange peel. Solid palate with a sweet duration. Well balanced. Sammy (3934), Toronto, Ontario, Canada Aug 8, 2009 I confirm this is the best of the regular available product line. Enjoyed on tap at the brewpub. Very light yellow with a soapy head. Amrillo hops, its in the aroma, it gives it an orange taste. Average mouthfeel. MereLikesBeer (153), Royal Oak, Michigan, USA Jul 25, 2009 I had this on tap at MBGSF 09. I wasn’t incredibly amazed with this but will be willing to give it a try again. It was a nice orange/amber color with an off white head. It was very hoppy with a lot of citrus kicked in there. The flavor was similar, but had a huge grapefruit taste to it. I really only enjoyed that fact about this beer. Grapefruit is something that I don’t really get a lot out of IPA’s, and that was a nice flavor . Not something that I will go out and look for, but an alright beer. alexsdad06 (1056), Ohio, USA Jan 2, 2009 Draft sample MBGF summer 08. Pours a hazy orange amber color with a sm/med off white head. The aroma is all about the hops: pine fruity, floral are all present. The flavor is much of the same: floral and pine hops, caramel malt, not much in the way of citrus or even bitterness. This is a very solid DIPA, but not a cookie cutter version. The alcohol in this was totally hidden.
