Flavor is all resin/pine with a little citrus in the finish. This seemed wattery to me. This beer is very slammable due to that fact and it runs at 9% which is not present at all. Not too bad overall. TheRealBastard (144), The-No, California, USA

Very drinkable beer, really easy to get drunk on. Man I just slugged a growler of it and Whoa! Tasty stuff; tons of citrus, pine, and grapefruit! Good; I only wish it had a bolder body, a little thin for my taste. Still a solid beer just a little to dry going down. I’d drink this again if given the opportunity. Hoppy floral character, aggressive, but not over the top, some malt way in the back. Not a lot of hops on the taste versus the aroma, comes in a ton on the finish though. A real clean earthy DIPA. | 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Mar 17, 2008 Big thanks to BBB63 for bringing this tasty growler to Degarth’s Tampa tasting.
Pours deep gold with white head. The aroma doesn’t take any effort to pull in due to its strength. I easily pick up notes of pineapple, grapefruit, mild floral hops and some malt sweetness. The taste seems sessionable to start as the mild malt sweetness, pineapple, and pine hops ramp up to full power. The hops peak with late addition hop flavor to midway before the bottom drops out and the onrush of hop bitterness overtakes the flavor into the finish. Seems to taste and feel more like an IPA than an IIPA since it is smooth, well blended and extremely quaffable. Beware, dangerously drinkable. AllAboutStout (605), Cincinnati, Ohio, USA

This is a very balanced DIPA. Nothing was coming across stronger or dominating any of the other flavors. Well done. SQNfan (591), Wheaton, Illinois, USA

It did show some citrus behind this but it was more of an earthy version. Solid palate weight with some balancing caramel malts leading back to a nice hoppy dry/bitter finish. Solid IIPA. Golden orange pour, glows as it filters into the glass, very hazy....1.5 finger thick white head leaves good lacing and has average retention....a blast of citrus and perfume hops attack the nose on the first whiff of the beer....citrus candy, pine resin, grassy notes and some caramel malts all fold in as well....a bit more malt forward in the flavor profile, but this thing is still mainly a big hop monster....medium bodied, highly astringent and high carbonation....flowery and grassy notes abound throughout the finish....good stuff.... mgumby10 (1858), Jupiter, Florida, USA
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Mar 15, 2008 Courtesy BBB63. Growler. Pours a clear gold color, with a bubbly white head. Smells of juicy hops, grapefruit, more on the sweet fruity side. The flavor had soft carbonation, but big hop flavor. Good doses of juicy grapefruit citrus, along with a profound hop bitterness in the finish, and lingering aftertaste. Not too bad, not quite a big enough hop presence to be called a IIPA in my opinion, but pretty tasty.
