Pours light hazy yellow with a fine medium, frothy white head. Fine lacing. Aroma is yeast and light maltiness. Super mouthfeel. Flavour is highly vinious, lightly metallic, a bit sweet, some apple. Far too much alcohol! Yves (1036), Beerse, Belgium

| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Mar 8, 2008 Thick-set, creamy & cream-coloured head, irregular and leaving lace over hazy dark-orange beer. White candi sugar, quite citrussy with a point of sourness suggested, and some alcohol. Dried citrus leaves. Dry-bitter beer, with a leafy character, and almost imperceptible sour tang. Some sweetness on the palate, but faint. Again citrus flavours. Alcohol comes out in the palate, which is pretty dry. Medium to well-bodied, despite all the sugar-derived alcohol. Nice beer, the nearly bitter dryness conforts me in the tale I’ve been spun, that this is a differently sweetened exportversion from the Kapittel Blond.
