Enough determined scent, agreeable and bitter. Sweet caramel aroma. Not too much solid and drinkable with a not excessive alcoholic tenor. Bitterish end with notes of tobacco and raisin. | 4.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 5/5 | 9/10 | 5/5 | 18/20 | May 26, 2005 It’s been a while, but this was an outstanding beer when I tried a six pack of it. The only place I’ve been able to find it was at an AAFES exchange at McDill AFB. Tastes in beer styles differ from person to person, so if a Czech/Vienna style amber lager suites you, make sure you grab this beer if you ever see it. Heavy malt flavor yet medium bodied. Nice balance with hops the way only only Germanic people seem to know how to do. Beautiful copper color and creamy head, what a memory of a fine beer. Cletus (5058), Connecticut, USA
