Cherryish chestnut colour with a quicky dissipating head. Toasty, nutty aroma but hints at some unpleasantness. Malty palate with earthy-toffeeish flavours. Thin and thick at the same time- lots of unfermented sugars but maybe not enough lagering time to bring them all together into a cohesive unit. Hint of nuttiness. Sweet, earthy finish. Good, but not great example of Czech tmavy.

Pours a reddish brown with a quick head. Aromas of malt, nutiness, sweet. The taste is straightforward but drinkable nonetheless with notes of malt and caramel with a mild carbonation and mild to medium sweetness throughout.

Sharp vinous aroma, some astringence, sugary aromas. Pours an opaque brown, thin head. Overall I found this very bland. Very little punch or flavour of any kind. Overrated.

This one pours a clear, dark, mahogany with a good head. There’s a bit of sulfur in the nose underneath the dark malts and a bit of nuttiness. In the flavor, it’s cocoa powder, raisins and brown sugar. The flavor is kind of dusty or powdery, but I’m not sure quite how to describe it. It’s ok but nothing special.

Smooth to drink, but the smell is of burnt caramel. Color very nice, deep red. Virtually no head or carbonation. Initial flavor is the burnt caramel, but smooths in time. Lingering flavor that is very nice on the tongue. Not a good heavy drinking beer but interesting for a change. Probably won’t buy again.

Dark maroon color with a big beige head. Aroma of caramel, toffee and a little hops. Flavors of toffee and notes of roast and chocolate. Very drinkable.

Deep reddish- brown with sweet malty aromas with notes of toffee and dark fruit. Substantial blend of roasted malts with hints of cocoa and coffee. Starts with a silky sweet texture then dries nicely in the end. A great beer to have with dessert. Worth getting again.
