really nice dunkel, brown color, sweet aroma malty toffee, nice and smooth malts mindgle well with the hops, some sweetness, and choc, decent dry finish.

Decent Czech dark lager. By no means mind-blowing or big but it has some potential. I usually prefer the Demon, by the same brewer.

Draught at BBF07 as Lobkowicz Dunkel. Very dark brown colour. Small light brown head. The flavour is slightly roasted with a hint of barley bitterness. Well-balanced.

Clear brown pour with a medium beige head. Good aroma and flavor of coacoa and malt, the malt is rich and thick. The body is medium with an oily texture and moderate carbonation. Interesting but not especially complex.

Dark ruby red color, big brown head. Chocolaty, grassy and cardboardish nose. Dry, harsh malty, light burned notes, subdued toffee flavors. Light and not very interesting - lacks hop presence.

From a narrow neck 12 oz. slender bottle, no freshness date, sampled in a lager glass. A translucent reddish hued brown with a large foamy, bubbly topped beige head, good retention, small amount of laced sticking. Good, malty nose, chocolate and caramel toffee, bready, a subtle fruitiness. Airy carbonation that lends itself to creamy smooth medium bodied mouthfeel, dry and crisp, malty tastes of cocoa, coffee, sweet caramel, sugar doughy, touches of toasted grains, a nice hop spicy bitterness in the finish. Pleasant drinkability, easy and smooth. A tasty and balanced dark lager, went great with the French dip roasted beef sandwich I had for dinner tonight, well worth trying.

Dark brown color, with a thick beige head, leaving laces, toasted malt and cookie dough nose, with a sweet chestnut nuttiness, with some biscuity, chocolatey and toffeeish notes, with some raisiny, ripe apple fruitiness, with a faint nutmeg spiciness in the aroma follows through on a medium-bodied palate with a sweet toasted character, a chocolatey cookie dough accent, a nice candied nuttiness, with some toffee notes, with some dark sultana and date fruity flavors, and a hint of mochaish coffee, leading towards a sweet malty, fruity raisiny finish.

Very dark ruby body with a small creamy beige head. Fruity cake aroma. Mouthfeel si smooth and creamy with a soft carbonation. Taste can be described as an attack of brown cake, cherries and milk-chocolate and a finish of banana cake and tobaccos leaves. I did notice a lot of different flavour elements in the beer but for reason the whole thing was less than the sum of its parts. Not bad, just very forgettable. Lobkowicz Boring 12°.
