Sweets, hops, spices and chocolate lingers pleasantly in your nostrils. Makes you wan't to "sniff" forever. Flavour is not equally good. Some roastyness, bites of hops and some maltyness that transfer into a pleasant dry bitterness in the end. Some bite in the mouthfeel. This is a very good dunkel. One of the best bottled I've tried. Malt out the wazoo, nice body as a result, but with a nice hint of Saaz. This kind of old-school Czech dark lager always makes me think of the Good Soldier Svejk, the Czech equivalent of Homer Simpson, and his beer-soaked exploits in the hinterlands of the Hapsburg Empire... austinpowers (2828), New York, New York, USA
