Cask handpump @ The Monk’s Retreat, Reading RG1, England.
Clear medium orange color with a small, fizzy, fair lacing, fully diminishing, off-white head. Aroma is moderate hoppy, flowers, grape, notes of butter, honey ? Flavor is moderate sweet and bitter with a average duration. Body is medium, texture is oily to watery, carbonation is flat. (010508)

Half of this strong pale ale on cask at Turf Tavern, Oxford. Clear, golden-brown body. No head at all. Fruity hops to the nose. Initial grassy hops building up to a light sappy taste of oranges and grapefruits mixed with malts. Weak bitter ending (17.03.2008).

Cask, Turf Tavern, Oxford. Light peachy gold, soapy white head. Peardrop and pineapple aroma. Sweet, light fruit flavor, a little tartness, pineapple. Some good fresh flavors here, but the building sweetness really upsets the balance, and halfway through the pint I was thinking a half pint would have been plenty.
