Cask at Oliver Twist, Stockholm. Pours out in a slightly hazy bronze colour with a low low white head. Aroma of hay, red apples, metal and cookies. Light-bodied. Apple-skins, grass and vanilla in the flavour. Medium-bitter long finish of grass and hay.

Draught (Live & Let Live, Cambridge) Orange, no head. Sweet malty aroma, hints at mild spices, perhaps hops. In the mouth it first gives apples, then fills out to a malty bitterness. After swallowing, count to 5, and then a wonderful wave of slightly doughy malt will hit you. The finish is also very bitter, later it becomes zesty orange. Everything you could ask for in a bitter. Very caramelly too.

Cask at the Old Manor (JDW), Bracknell. Golden with a thin white head; fresh, slightly citrus aroma; some citrus and honey flavours and a rounded bitter finish. An extremely refreshing pint for a summer lunchtime.

A Sim rate (Cask at Reading Beer Festival): Amber copper colour. Smells like biscuits, vanilla and pudding. Tastes even more of vanilla and sponge. Spicy. Butterscotch.

Cask conditioned @ Guide Dog, Soton. Deep Golden. Full sweet malt light biscuits and bread. Mild leafy hops. Enough bitterness to keep it drinkable but the pale malt flavours dont really provide enough interest over a pint.
