Bockyhorsey (2118), Mesa, Arizona, USA Jun 30, 2008 When visited Texas last week seen this beer on virtually every beer shelf. Not available in AZ so I picked it up. Yellow body with white head and good carbination bubble action. That was the best part. Even our cat took a wiff and ran off. Burnt corn malt aroma and flavor. Uck need a water nasty aftertaste.
mmmmbeer123123 (3), Alabama, USA does not count Dec 29, 2008 This tastes like it were fermented with chunks of Texas sun-dried dog vomit. Cant expect much from the state President Fail comes from. GeneralGao (2726), Iowa City, Iowa, USA Dec 20, 2008 12 oz bottle. Poured a clear golden color with a white head. Watered down aroma of hay and fresh cut grass. Light bodied and watery. Not much flavor other than some white paper and a hint of pale malt. The bottle cap riddles are a nice touch, but the beer has a lot to be desired. bblack99 (24), Kansas City, Missouri, USA Dec 19, 2008 Second-worst beer I have ever had. Purchased while in Dallas on the recommendation of a Texan. I think this beer being the "official beer of Texas" is a joke perpetrated on tourists.
Thin, watery, no head, with a skunky aroma. Very little flavor, but what little exists is pure bitterness. gerzm22 (106), , Florida, USA Dec 13, 2008 I bought on a last minute beer run while i was blasted, my gf drove, it was ok. it was a typical low end american pale lager even though it is the national beer of texas i found in NJ kenb (962), Oregon, USA Dec 13, 2008 16 oz can. Thanks Kaggie! Pours a clear yellow gold with a head the disappears within seconds. Nose is grains and some earthy hops. Is not bad tasting for a pale lager. Typical light malted grain and hay flavors. Thin. Dry finish. Almost ok.
