| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Jun 20, 2008 This one was a pretty good hit, nice smooth caramel taste and some decent hop profile. Maybe a little bit too clear, but I could drink alot of these without having to sacrifice flavor. A real good balance between malt and hop that doesnt go further than it needs to. fredandboboflo (1417), East Setauket, New York, USA

Flavor takes a step back into light-bodied sweetness. A decent beer that has many superior friends. LilBeerDoctor (1530), East Setauket, New York, USA

Flavor of sweet malt, some flowery hops. Palate is slightly watery compared to other light-bodied pale ales, alts, or ambers, but it’s not terrible. Very drinkable and a nice option on tap. elihapa (1067), Honolulu, California, USA

Mouthfeel is soft, with medium thickness. Flavor is sweet with a slight hop character, earthy notes and caramel. A simple, well-blended ale/alt good for sessioning. This is a copper bodied, spiced malt beer with a hint of dough yeast and some bitterness would be better named ’Long Trail Alt’. It’s Ale qualities are definitely influenced from the Rhineland and not the Union Jack.
