When drinking, I couldn’t quite figure out what was there and what wasn’t - a bad sign. Sassenach (59), USA

Medium-strong carbonation in a coppery amber body, lacing, rocky, large white head. Taste is dry and largely effeminate, mild malt with sweetish fruit and a light yeasty undercurrent. Medium body yields to a very dry, slightly yeasty aftertaste. Sessionable and inoffensive. yesyouam (602), Fairport, New York, USA
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Jul 5, 2007 Long Trail Ale is a pale caramel color with a thin, off-white, mostly diminishing head. It is very clear and sparkling. The aroma is simple and crisp. It is of fruity, wooden hops. It is light and soft on the tongue; smooth and clean all the way down. The flavor is straightforward with very much noble hop character. There is a good balance between the hop aroma and hop flavor here: nothing surprises. The aftertaste is short and crisp. Nice session beer! emerica56 (585), Bristol, Rhode Island, USA
