Commercial Description:
This full bodied amber ale is modeled after the "altbiers" of Dusseldorf, Germany. Our top fermenting yeast and cold finishing temperature result in a complex, yet clean, full flavor.

Bought a six pack of this for a football game. I’ve had better "Alt" beers, but on it’s on a solid beer. Nothing exceptional about it, good malt character, slightly bready, mild hop character, slightly spicy. Overall a nice amber ale, went well with pretzels and sausages.

Flavor is malty and nutty, just like the flavor. Caramel flavor, but pretty dry. Very clean, even for a lager, but not thin. Actual bitterness riding in the back, not really any hop flavor. A little bit of apple flavor. Some green apple. Medium bodied, nothing really distinct about the palate. Makes a decently flavorful session beer, but not much else.

Bottle. Clear amber/copper with a frothy cream colored head. Aroma of grainy and biscuity malt mostly, a bit of yeast as well. Flavor of off-sweet cereal/grain malt with some hop bitterness and slightly sour finish. Mildly bitter grassy aftertaste. Light to medium palate, slightly fizzy. Ehh.

Poured a copper orange from the bottle with very little white head. No distinct aroma, no hops and little malt smell. Sweet and smooth flavor, malty taste smooth, slightly watery finish. Not bad but not remarkable.

via trade with jasonmech77 - Pours a copper color with a faint off white head. Has a light spicey, grassy hop aroma. Has a spicey caramel malt flavor. Medium body. Nice beer. Thanks Jason

A decent ale with a sweet taste and creamy finish. Nothing noteworthy or very special. It kinda reminds me more of a pilsner than an altbier.

Pretty good for an everyday ale, but not for the price. Slightly hoppy, nice malt, but very thin.

Bottle: Poured a golden color beer with a small head and very little retention. Aroma of sweet malt is quite overpowering with no hops discernable. Taste is very sweet with some light malt presence. Hops are very hard to discern. Overall, this is a refreshing but also quite boring beer.
