Commercial Description:
This full bodied amber ale is modeled after the "altbiers" of Dusseldorf, Germany. Our top fermenting yeast and cold finishing temperature result in a complex, yet clean, full flavor.

[tap @ Strangebrew] Full flavors and a good finish, I think of this as a good session beer. Among the local beers from my area, I’ll take this over any Sam Adams.

Tap t some restaurant in Essex, Massachusetts. A bit too butterscotchy, sweetish, but some slight diacetyl characters. Otherwise OK, but a it thin and dull.

This beer did the the benifit of being sampled while on the deck of the party boat in the Islands. The NOMAAM club did partake in many enjoyable beers that weekend. I enjoyed the Sam Adams Summer Ale (which I brought) the most. This one was a nice amber ale, but too hoppy a finish for my summer taste buds.

My favorite beer of the past weekend’s NO MAAM club beer tasting event. But maybe that’s because I had it while on the deck of a boat in a peaceful cove on a lake. Great color, malty palate, hoppy aroma and finish.

decent slightly hoppy but mediocre body, however an invitation to the brewery is printed right on the bottle, earning extra overall points. got it in a 6-pack of broken 6-packs, the greatest bargain ever invented, although I got stuck with a couple Coronas and a couple Budweisers.

This didn’t have much of a scent to it, it kind of smelled like wet dog watered down with some malts. The flavor wasn’t too exciting, just malty with pine/tree flavored hops. It pours brown with a white head and was ok going down. Not sure if the Altbier is for me.

This beer is solid, but not too exciting. A good mix of malt and hops, but nothing too striking about the flavor. Good beer, but I don’t LOVE it. Its a utilitarian-type beer. Decent quality overall, I will drink this again no doubt.

On tap at Mulligan’s in Manchester, VT. Not too bad this one, sweet finish with a bit of hops up front.
