Pours a dark amber with a light bubbly white head. It doesn’t have a lot of aroma. I’m drinking this beer after an IPA so the taste might be a little off, but it tastes slightly bitter with some fruit around the edges.

Aug 25, 2008 this is one of my favorite session beers from the northeast. it is a good everyday beer. is well balanced and can go with a variety of food parings. it is cheap and has great availability.

Aug 24, 2008 Very nice clean yeasty aroma turns slightly fruity and perfumy in the glass. Slightly darker than the ubiquitous pale lager but just as clear. Meollow flavor that wants to come on strong but does not. Godd tingly carbonation and its welcomed. After the session continues, there is a medium light building hops falvor. Nice enjoyable hint of fruit in there too. Has some hop presence without being offensive nor over the top. Very enjoyable beer, glad I got to try this. Finish is nice and friendly, hides alky well. Surprizingly pleasing.

Aug 22, 2008 A nice altbier, though I would call this an amber ale in a blind taste test. I started with this brewer’s Double Bag ale and this is like the light version. Less flavor, less aroma. Same appearance, but more enjoyable. Less malty and more carbonated with a nice hoppy aftertaste. Not great, but very drinkable.

Jul 29, 2008 Had in bottle and on tap. A dark amber pour with a nice head. Smells a little fruity at first, tastes a little as well. Also tastes hoppy/malty but drinks well. Will drink again.
