Commercial Description:
Our Belgian White Ale is modeled after the original Belgian Witbiers brewed in monasteries during the early 14th century. The soft notes of citrus and spice are topped with a light fluffy head that finishes clean and crisp. This all natural ale is our latest seasonal brew, perfect for lounging at lake-side or celebrating at trails end...

Bottle at The Bend, Buffalo. Another in a string of brewers trying to get a piece of Blue Moon. What to say? Slightly hazed, lemon, spice, citrus, blah, blah, blah. OK

Pours opaque light yeloow with minimal white head. Strong aromas of corriander and citrus. Strong taste of corriander, lemon peel with faint pepper and wheat notes, ends with a slight bitter finish. Overall disappointing compared to other Long Trail products I have tried. This is very unpolished and rough tasting (need to tone down the spices). Perhaps in a few years I will try again.

A decent American interpretation of the Belgian style. Floral nose. Spicy, citrusy flavor. I would drink it again.

Pours straw into the glass, with a quickly dissipating head that leaves no ring nor lace. It’s spot on for Apple Jacks cereal to the nose... sugary sweet apples and limes. The flavors are much what I’d anticipate Apple Jacks cereal to be in brew form.... there are multiple melony-lemon citrus (candied) notes intermingling with a variety of cereal and wheat characteristics. I also note a bit of orange (with peel and zest) and coriander toward the back-palate. The finish is yeasty and introduces light pie spices. The mouthfeel is a bit overcarbonated and zesty, whilst trying to hide behind a smooth quaff. Overall, not the worst witbier I’ve had, but certainly not the best put-together.

12 oz bottle. Cloudy pale yellow pour with a 1/2" white head. Aroma is light lemon and some undetermined spice. Light palate with average carbonation. Flavor is mild citrus, lemon maybe, with some wheat. Also, has a bit of barnyard funk. Not sure if thats a good or a bad thing. Ok brew, but probably won’t seek it out again.

Cloudy golden pour with a small white head. Light aroma of lemon zest and some spice. Flavor is mostly light lemon zest, with a hint of coriander and pepper, and a slight bittersweet finish. Mostly watery, but somewhat spicy mouth feel. Not unpleasant, and fairly balanced, but lacks substance and character.

(bottle - 12 oz) Light and cloudy yellow pour with a bleach white head. Aroma is full of coriander, spices, and some lemon. Flavor is light and grainy with some dry and bitter spices and some tart lemon. Very watery and thin and the flavors don’t last very long.

lighter than golden, thn long lasting head. Lightly spicy aroma, corriander I would guess. Wit-beer-esk but not quite so crisp. Not so clean finishing. Eh, ok but nothing great.
